Marian J. (Lutz) Spafford (April 11, 1919 – August 5, 2003) was an elementary school teacher in Victorville for many years. She was the first member of her family to graduate from college. She believed strongly in the value of a college education, and would have been so happy to have this opportunity to make a student’s dreams come true. This scholarship is awarded to a student who is working during college.
